Over 31,000 Drug Trafficking Cases Filed Under Special Operation

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka police says that a total of 31,209 cases have been filed against drug traffickers under the special operation targeting small, medium, and large-scale drug trafficking.

The highest number of cases have been related to ICE drug trafficking, with 10,912 cases filed.

Police have seized 102 kg, 665 g, and 250 mg of the drug ICE during these operations.

Additionally, 9,300 cases have been filed for heroin trafficking, with 299 kg, 925 g, and 440 mg of heroin seized, while police also filed 9,476 cases related to cannabis trafficking.
