Suspect apprehended with Kerala cannabis in Puttalam

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A coordinated search operation conducted by the Navy and the Divisional Crime Detective Bureau, Puttalam led to the arrest of a woman with about 2kg and 245g of Kerala cannabis in possession at Kottantivu, Sinnapadu in Puttalam yesterday.

The stash of Kerala cannabis was recovered after searching a house in the locality of Kottantivu, on suspicion. 

The gross street value of Kerala cannabis held in this operation is believed to be Rs. 800,000.

The suspect is a resident of Kottantivu, aged 27.

The suspect, together with Kerala cannabis was handed over to the Madurankuliya Police for onward legal proceedings.
