Customs Seize Illicit Cigarettes Worth 32 Million Rupees at Colombo Port

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Customs officials have seized a large consignment of illicit cigarettes, valued at nearly 32 million rupees, during a special inspection at a warehouse at the Colombo Port. 

The cigarettes, totaling 420,000 units, were discovered hidden in plastic barrels. 

According to Customs, the consignment was imported from the United Arab Emirates.
