Rs. 6,000 Stationery Allowance Fully Distributed to Over 1.1 Million Students

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Finance and Planning says that the Rs. 6,000 allowance for stationery for students from families receiving welfare benefits has now been fully distributed.
Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma says that over 1.1 million students have received the benefit.
The total amount allocated by the government for this initiative was Rs. 6.5 billion.
