COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors' Association says legal action was taken against 408 businesses in raids conducted islandwide during the festive season.
It was revealed that raids were carried out in 6581 businesses since the first of this month.
Legal action was taken against shops and canteens for selling expired food, food with harmful coloring and flavorings.
According to the Association, 2000 PHI Officers have been deployed to continue procedures.
