AF Jones Receives Award at the Annual Exporter Awards

COLOMBO (News 1st) : AF Jones Exporters Ceylon Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Capital Maharaja Group was recognized with a merit award for its Contribution to the export sector in Sri Lanka in the extra large category at the 32nd Annual Export Awards organized by the National Chamber of Exporters [NCE].

The award was handed over to AF Jones in recognition of their steadfast commitment towards exports, exemplary business practices, good governance, ethical trading, sound financial management and adherence to professionalism.

The award was received by Group Director of the Capital Maharaja Group and Head of the Export Vertical Shameer Rasooldeen and Tea Director of AF Jones Quintin Dissanayake.

Secretary General of the NCE Shiham Marikar stated that the primary goal of the NCE Export Awards is to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of Sri Lankan exporters both locally and internationally.

NCE Export Awards is the premier awards ceremony and the flagship event in the Sri Lankan Business Calendar conducted by NCE specially designed to recognize and reward outstanding performance of exporters of Sri Lanka.

This prestigious award is meant to enhance the visibility of the exporter in the global market and gain prominence and ease of access into various international markets, in bestowing this award, the Chamber recognizes various important aspects of a business accentuating on People, Profit and Planet.

Meanwhile, AF Jones was among the 13 exporter companies recognized for ethical trading practices in Sri Lanka in compliance with the criteria of Certificate of Ethical Trading issued by the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka on principles of Ethical Trading Practices.
