Debate on President's Policy Statement in Parliament Continues for Second Day

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Yesterday, the debate on the policy statement presented by the President began, at the 1st session of the 10th Parliament of Sri Lanka. 

Speaker Dr. Ashoka Ranwala chaired the parliamentary session.

Today, the debate on the proposals related to the government's policy statement will continue.

The debate will take place from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

A vote is also scheduled to be held at 5:00 PM today.

During the debate that began yesterday, several opposition members expressed their views.

Additionally, there will be a debate today regarding the disaster situation caused by heavy rainfall recently, which was decided during a meeting of party leaders.

This debate is set to take place from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

This debate will be proposed by the Opposition as an Adjournment Motion.
