COLOMBO (News 1st): Minister of Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa says that the progress of the discussions held between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the delegation of the International Monetary Fund, will be presented at the Cabinet meeting today (19).
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held a meeting yesterday (18) with this delegation from the International Monetary Fund at the President's office, to discuss Sri Lanka's economic recovery.
During the meeting, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stressed the need for a balanced approach that addresses citizen hardships and restores public trust.
He highlighted the need to address critical issues such as child poverty, malnutrition, and support for the differently-abled.
The IMF delegation began discussions with officials of the Ministry of Finance yesterday (18) with regard to the third review of the IMF program in Sri Lanka.
The delegation from the International Monetary Fund arrived in Sri Lanka, last Friday (15).
