Fake Government Grant Messages Targeting Public

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) has issued a warning about a scam involving fraudulent messages claiming that the government is providing financial grants. 

Senior Engineer Charuka Damunupola from CERT stated that there have been numerous complaints from the public about receiving fake messages promising a grant of Rs. 50,000 from the government. 

He advised the public to avoid clicking on any links included in these messages and to refrain from sharing these links with others.
