Transparent Probe Into Easter Attacks - Sajith

COLOMBO (News 1st) – Sajith Premadasa, the presidential candidate of Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB), has announced a series of initiatives aimed at addressing key issues within the armed forces, police, and civil defense sector. 

Speaking at a campaign event, Premadasa outlined his vision for the future of Sri Lanka, noting that within forty-eight hours of being elected, a presidential task force will be established to address all issues concerning the three armed forces, the police, and the civil defense sector. 

Additionally, a dedicated veterans department will be created to ensure the welfare of our veterans," Premadasa declared.

He also promised to reinstate the 15 percent interest on fixed deposits for the elderly community, abolishing the recently introduced system that deducts 5 percent from the interest amount.

Premadasa also addressed the confusion caused by the Easter Sunday Attack, committing to transparently identifying the groups behind the terrorist attack and bringing the masterminds to justice.
