Leading Monk levels serious corruption allegations against Manusha

COLOMBO (News 1st); Venerable Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thero, from the Bikkhu Collective Represnting the Three Sects, has come forward with serious allegations against the Foreign Employment Bureau, citing numerous instances of fraud and irregularities. 

On the 3rd of this month, a woman visiting the Mihinthala Raja Maha Viharaya shared her personal challenges with the Thero, prompting him to speak out. He revealed that many others have also disclosed similar issues.

In response to these revelations, Venerable Ananda Sagara Thero presented the concerns to the Opposition Leader, urging an immediate investigation once a new government is formed. 

However, by Wednesday evening, the Thero received a letter of demand for Rs. 500 million, alleging that his statements had defamed Manusha Nanayakkara.

Undeterred by the legal threat, Venerable Ananda Sagara Thero stated, "If Manusha Nanayakkara believes that this Rs. 500 million demand will intimidate me into retracting my statements, he is mistaken. I am prepared to face him in court."
