AKD Says Victory Is Already Assured

Colombo (News 1st): Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the presidential candidate of the National People's Power (NPP), has confidently declared that his victory in the upcoming election is already assured. 

Dissanayake emphasized the unwavering support of the common people and outlined his vision for the future governance of Sri Lanka.

"The National People's Power has already secured victory and is actively working towards our goals. The common people of this country cannot be thwarted by any schemes. Our victory is certain, and we will win by a significant margin," he said.

Dissanayake highlighted the discrepancy between the people's mandate and the current parliamentary mandate, criticizing the shifting allegiances of various political figures. He pointed out that many parliamentarians have switched their support, undermining the original mandate given in 2020.

He assured that his administration would form a strong cabinet and conduct new parliamentary elections, emphasizing the need for a government that truly represents the people's will. He expressed confidence that the NPP would secure a significant majority in the new parliament.
