Massive 4,000-Acre Development Plan for Hambantota, says Ranil

COLOMBO (News 1st); Independent Presidential Candidate and President, Ranil Wickremesinghe detailed the development plans for the Hambantota Port, including a comprehensive expansion plan by the China Merchant Company and Surbana Jurong.



The allocation of 4,000 acres for a large-scale planning zone and the introduction of the Sinopec refinery are key components of the strategy to transform Hambantota into a thriving hub over the next five years.



"Let us work together to achieve this progress," President Wickremesinghe concluded, rallying support for his vision of a prosperous and stable Sri Lanka.



President Ranil Wickremesinghe announced comprehensive plans to transform Hambantota into a major hub for tourism, industry, trade, and port activities. 



Speaking at the "Puluwan Sri Lanka" victory rally held near the Hambantota bus stand, the President emphasized his commitment to improving citizens' livelihoods through strategic economic relief measures.



Addressing a large gathering of supporters, President Wickremesinghe highlighted his administration's achievements and future plans. 



He underscored the importance of sound management practices in safeguarding the nation's economy, which has been painstakingly rebuilt. "The country's future should not be entrusted to leaders who lack basic economic knowledge and make unrealistic promises," he stated
