Anura Kumara Signs Nomination Papers

COLOMBO (News 1st); Anura Kumara Dissanayake, leader of the National People's Power, officially signed his nomination paper for the upcoming presidential election today.

The signing ceremony took place at the Janatha Vimukti Peramuna (JVP) head office.

Several prominent members of the National Executive Body of the NPP attended the event, including Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe, General Secretary of the National People's Power, and Tilvin Silva, General Secretary of the JVP.

Speaking to reporters after signing the nomination papers, Dissanayake emphasized the readiness of the National People's Power to tackle the country's crises and lead it towards prosperity.

"Our country has been condemned by the former ruling classes in many big crises. The National People's Power is ready to accept the challenge of rescuing our people and our country from this crisis. Therefore, we can convert this signature we put today into a signature of victory for sure," he stated.
