The mortal remains of late R. Sampanthan, to be laid to rest today

COLOMBO (News 1st): The mortal remains of late R. Sampanthan, Former Opposition Leader will be laid to rest at a private funeral parlor in Borella, from 9 am this morning, for the general public to pay their final respects.

This was announced by TNA MP M. A. Sumanthiran, PC

The remains will thereafter be taken to the parliamentary complex tomorrow.

Following the public honors at Parliament, the mortal remains of late R. Sampanthan will be taken to Trincomalee.

Former Opposition Leader and Leader of the Tamil National Alliance, MP R. Sambandhan, passed away on 30th June, in a private hospital, at the age of 91.
