COLOMBO (News 1st); His Eminence, Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo, solemnly paid his respects to Tilina' Harshani, a victim of the tragic terror attack that targeting the Katuwapitiya Church on Easter Sunday in 2019.
The incident, which shook the nation, claimed innocent lives and left families devastated.
Thilina Harshani, a devoted mother of three children, was among those injured during the Katuwapitiya church bombing.
She had gone to the church with her child when the attack occurred, and tragically, her child also died in the same incident.
His Eminence, Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo, visited Harshani's home last night to pay his final respects.
He conveyed empathy and solidarity with the grieving family, offering solace during this painful time.
The last rites for Thilina Harshani will take place today, as family, friends, and community members gather to bid farewell to a life cut short by senseless violence.
