President Meets Elon Musk, Discusses Starlink Network

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Ranil Wickremesinghe met Elon Musk in Bali and spoke about the implementation of Starlink in Sri Lanka.

President Wickremesinghe committed to fast-tracking the application process to connect Sri Lanka with the global Starlink network.

Starlink is the world's first and largest satellite constellation using a low Earth orbit to deliver broadband internet capable of supporting streaming, online gaming, video calls and more.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has left for Indonesia yesterday to attend the 10th World Water Forum high-level meeting in Bali, at the invitation of Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

The 10th World Water Forum is being held from May 18 in Bali, Indonesia.

According to the President's Media Division, President Wickremesinghe is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the high-level meeting on Monday (20).
