Suresh Salley defamation case pushed to February next year

COLOMBO (News 1st); The defamation case filed by the Director-General of the State Intelligence Service, Major General Suresh Salley against Rev. Fr. Cyril Gamini Fernando, for making a defamatory statement during an online session, was called up in the presence of Colombo Chief District Judge Sandun Vithana on Monday (4). 

Major General Suresh Salley had filed the case, seeking Rs. 50 Million in damages.

The case was filed based on a statement made by Reverend Father Cyril Gamini Fernando during an online forum on the 23rd of October 2021 on the 2019 Easter Attacks.
