HRCSL launches probe into death of suspects in Police custody

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka has launched an investigation into the death of suspects while in Police custody.
Commissioner Attorney Nimal Punchihewa said over 20 such incidents have been reported in the recent past.
He said accordingly a decision was reached to prepare a series of special instructions for dealing with suspects in custody.
