COLOMBO (News 1st); Views will be obtained from representatives of electronic media organizations on Wednesday (07), regarding the proposed Broadcasting Authority Bill.
Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media Anusha Palpita said a discussion will be held at the Parliament Complex at 2pm on Wednesday (07).
Members of the Cabinet sub-committee that drafted the bill including Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Dr. Bandula Gunawardana, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Keheliya Rambukwella and Manusha Nanayakkara will attend the discussion.
Palpita said the heads of all licensed electronic media organizations in Sri Lanka have been invited to the discussion.
The Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media said the amendments submitted by electronic media organizations regarding the proposed Broadcasting Authority Bill will be discussed during the meeting.
