Sri Lanka's Police Chief re-appointed for three more months

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's President Ranil Wickremesinghe has given a three-month service extension to the country's police chief.

An extraordinary gazette from the President's Office noted that the President, in terms of Article 41C.(1) and 61E.(b) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, has appointed Chandana Deepal Wickramaratne, as the Inspector General of Police, with effect from March 26, 2023 for a period of three months.
