Colombo (News 1st) - The Professionals Trade Union collective said a decisive meeting will be held tomorrow (07) to discuss action against the government's new tax policy.
40 trade unions including the Government Medical Officers Association, ports, electricity, water supply, banks, petroleum, and university teachers unions are part of the Professionals Trade Union Collective.
Media Spokesperson of the Government Medical Officers' Association Dr. Chamil Wijesinghe said they are at a decisive juncture when it comes to the opposition mounted against the government's unjust tax policy.
He said the trade unions attached to the Professionals Trade Union Collective will convene at the GMOA office tomorrow (07) to decide what decisions will be reached.
Dr. Wijesinghe said a final decision as to what steps will be taken after the 9th of March will be made during the meeting.
