COLOMBO (News 1st) - The All Ceylon Poultry Businessmen's Association says that steps have been taken to reduce the price of one kilogram of chicken by Rs. 250/-.
Its Chairman Ajith Gunasekara said that the new price of a kilogram of chicken is Rs. 1,200.
Previously, chicken was being sold at Rs. 1,450/-.
The decision has been taken due to an increase in poultry farming by existing farmers, despite the obstacles which came with the economic crisis.
