Assistant Secretary of State for Asian Affairs Donald Lu to visit Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu will be engaging in a visit to Sri Lanka from October 17th until October 19th to discuss U.S.-Sri Lanka relations and Sri Lanka’s economic situation.

During his visit, Assistant Secretary Lu will meet with senior Sri Lankan officials to discuss ways in which the United States and Sri Lanka can promote economic stability, regional security, human rights, and responsive, transparent, and inclusive governance.

This visit comes after several other visits by top US Government officials such as Under Secretary-General Victoria Nuland.
