Three women arrested for smuggling 163 smart phones

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lankan authorities have arrested three women for illegally carrying gold and mobile phones into Sri Lanka at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
The suspects are residents of the Giriulla, Marawila, and Hambantota areas, aged 35, 40, and 48.
Police said that over 719g of gold, three gold chains, 163 smart mobile phones, 695 other mobile phones, and 810 batteries used for mobile phones were seized from their possession.
