COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa returned to Sri Lanka from Thailand on Friday (2) night.
The duty manager of Katunayake International Airport said that the former president arrived in the country at around 11.30 PM on Friday (2) aboard a Singapore Airlines flight.
The former president, who left the presidential palace due to public protests on July 9, left for the Maldives on July 13 in a plane belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force.
Thereafter he flew to Singapore where he stayed for several days, before heading to Thailand.
