ICTA set to introduce software for fuel availability

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) will be introducing a new software to inform the public with regard to fuel availability in the island.

Its Chairman, Jayantha de Silva stated that through the new software, information can be obtained with regard to fuel availability at filling stations in any part of the island.

The software will also contain information with regard to filling stations where the fuel is scheduled to arrive during the day.

Accordingly, ICTA Chairman Jayantha de Silva mentioned that under the QR code system, the public will have the opportunity to obtain fuel from any filling station located in their area of ​​residence.

In addition, De Silva mentioned that a system will be introduced to allow public to obtain fuel from regional filling stations when they travel to different parts of the island for excursions.
