Education Ministry update on school activities next week

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Education states that all Government and Government approved private schools will continue on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday during normal school hours, and students will be able to study from home or online on Wednesday and Friday, during the week of August 01st to 05th.

However school activities can continue on Wednesdays and Fridays, with the consent of principals and teachers and approval of the Zonal Education Director for schools with inadequate transport facilities.

Considering the conditions in the schools, a flexible schedule can be prepared so that every teacher can come to the school for at least three days and carry out teaching activities, the Ministry of Education added.
