India HC meets Foreign Minister

COLOMBO (News 1st); The High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Gopal Baglay paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka Ali Sabry, on 26 July 2022 at the Ministry.

During the meeting, the High Commissioner briefed the Foreign Minister on the assistance provided by India to Sri Lanka in the context of the current economic challenges. Minister Ali Sabry thanked the People and the Government of India for the support extended to Sri Lanka, especially during this difficult time.

Minister Sabry and High Commissioner Baglay discussed the progress of ongoing bilateral engagements between the two countries and noted with satisfaction the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
