Officers step away from Silk Route Ops

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Immigration and Emigration Officers attached to the Silk Route Operations catering to VIPs at the Katunayake Airport have stepped away from their duties.

The Chairman of the Sri Lanka Immigration and Emigration Officers Association K.A.A.S Kanugala said the trade union took this step because there is a possibility that accused former political elites will use the Silk Road clearing terminal to leave the country in large numbers.
