Hospital activities affected by Fuel Shortage

COLOMBO (News 1st); Doctors and health staff are facing a severe issue in reaching hospitals, due to the fuel crisis.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Health Janaka Sri Chandragupta said that discussion are currently taking place with the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation to source fuel for medical staff.

He pointed out that health staff living outside of Colombo are facing issues in reaching the city, adding that there are security concerns as well when issuing fuel for health workers.
