COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has requested the public NOT to visit filling stations until the 23rd if it is NOT for an essential requirement.
The public is urged NOT to join fuel queues for the next three days.
He said letters of credit of $90 Million had been opened to secure a petrol vessel on the 23rd and a diesel ship on the 24th of June.
Meanwhile, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) noted that the registration of vehicles for fuel supply has commenced.
