COLOMBO (News 1st); The High Commissioner of Pakistan, Umar Farooq Burki states that the Pakistani Government extends its full support to resolve the Sri Lankan economic crisis.
High Commissioner Umar Burki assured this with the President during a meeting held today (17) at the President's Office.
The High Commissioner also stated that the diplomatic relations between the two countries should be enhanced along the lines of politics, industrial, cultural and security ties.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa expressed his gratitude towards the High Commissioner for humanitarian assistance granted, especially in the form of essential medicines and extending grants and scholarships for Sri Lankan students to study abroad.
The High Commissioner added that he hopes for Sri Lanka to come out of its crisis situation soon.
