COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan authorities are planning on introducing a cycle lane, given the growing number of people who have started to cycle their way to work.
At a press briefing on Monday (13), transportation authorities said a study will be carried out on roads that can accommodate a cycle land and necessary measures will be taken.
Further, transportation authorities plan to set up a cycle lane on Marine Drive, Colombo while setting up infrastructure for cyclists to use by-roads to reach Colombo.
Authorities believe this would ease congestion, and said all measures will be taken to ensure the safety the cyclists.
