Police Arrest Man Linked to Army Upul Killing

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police says, a suspect linked to the murder of organized criminal Ami Upul in Batuwatta, Ragama has been arrested.

The 45-year-old suspect, a resident of Ganemulla, was apprehended during a raid on Podi Wee Kumbura, Ragama.

At the time of the arrest, the suspect was found in possession of 100 grams and 50 milligrams of the drug heroin.

The murder occurred on the 3rd of July at around 10:30 p.m., when two individuals arrived in a three-wheeler and shot 45 year old Ami Upul near his residence.
