CTB depots to provide fuel for school vans & buses

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Education, Susil Premajayantha says that the Ministers of Energy and Transport have agreed to make CTB Depots available to provide fuel for school vans and buses.

The Minister, responding to a question with regard to the transportation issues that school children may face, said that he had contacted and discussed the issue at length with the President of the School Vans Association.

The Minister pointed out that at present, the depots owned by the CTB refuels private buses as well as school buses.

In addition, the Minister said that he requested the Ministers of Transport and Energy, Bandula Gunawardena and Kanchana Wijesekara to allow CTB depots to provide fuel for school vans and buses.
