COLOMBO (News 1st); Diplomats in Sri Lanka have condemned the use of force on a antigovernmental protest in Rambukkana on Tuesday (19) that resulted in the death of one person, injuring scores.
Rambukkana, is a town located in the Kegalle District, in the Sabaragamuwa Province in Sri Lanka, and is a short drive away from the world-famous Pinnala Elephant Orphanage.
Deeply saddened to hear of the dead and injured in Rambukkana. My thoughts go out to their families. Maximum restraint is urgently required, and those instigating violence must be accountable.
