Julie Chung Leads QUAD Talks to Boost Sri Lanka Partnership

COLOMBO (News 1st): U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung met with the Heads of Mission from Australia, India, and Japan to reaffirm their collective commitment to Sri Lanka, on July 2.

The discussions focused on advancing the QUAD’s shared vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific.

On July 1, The Foreign Ministers of the QUAD nations—Australia, India, Japan, and the United States—convened in Washington to reaffirm their united commitment to a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific. 

As leading maritime powers, the QUAD underscored the critical role of peace and stability in the maritime domain, strongly opposing any unilateral actions aimed at altering the status quo through force or coercion.
