COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has decided to stop supplying fuel for cans and barrels from Tuesday (12).
The Chairman of the CPC, Attorney-at-law, Sumith Wijesinghe said if there is a need for fuel for agricultural activities, they will make arrangements to provide it, if approval is given by the relevant Agricultural Research Officer, the Divisional Agrarian Officer, and the Grama Niladhari Officer.
Further, he said if there is any need for fuel in barrels for other purposes, the public has to get approval from the Divisional Secretary.
However, Kerosene can be purchased in cans, he said.
Imported fuel stocks are being received as per the required plan for April, he noted.
