Report in bus fare hike to be handed over by NTC

COLOMBO (News 1st); The report prepared regarding the increase in bus fares is scheduled to be handed over to the Secretary to the Ministry of Transport on Tuesday (28).

The Director of the National Transport Commission (NTC), Nilan Miranda stated that this report was prepared considering several factors, including the increase in fuel prices.

He added that it has been recommended to increase the minimum bus fare under the present circumstances.

Meanwhile, State Minister of Transport Dilum Amunugama said that bus fares will be increased from Wednesday (29) after considering this report.
