Academic activities of grades 6-9 to commence today

COLOMBO (News 1st); Academic activities for grades 6, 7, 8 and 9 in schools across the island will commence today (22). Additional Secretary of School Affairs at the Ministry of Education, L.M.D. Dharmasena says academic activities will be carried out while adhering to health guidelines. He further stated that measures have been taken to ensure children do not contract COVID-19 when traveling to and from the school premises, and the Secretary also highlighted the importance of adhering to health guidelines at the school premises as well. Recently, the Health Ministry published guidelines to be followed in case a COVID-19 case is identified within the school premises.
