Women stage protest against rising cost of living

COLOMBO (News 1st); A group of women engaged in a protest in the Walawa area in Ambalantota against the rising cost of living today (20). Several women were seen wearing masks with caricatures of politicians and raising black flags. One of the women demanded for the Government to provide them with milk powder as their children are starving. Explaining the reason behind the protest, one of the women said that the burden of living has skyrocketed, and the women of this area have joined in this silent protest to rally forward.
