Pres. and Ministers not considering pleas of public: Ven. Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero

COLOMBO (News 1st); Venerable Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero, the Leader of the Jana Setha Peramuna, points out that the President and the ministers are not considering the pleas of the general public. Speaking to media today (20), Ven. Battaramulle Seelarathana Thero challenged the Government to come out and see the hardships faced by the very citizens of the country who voted for them. Emphasizing that 6.9 million people voted for this Government expecting swift solutions for the pleas of the general public, Ven. Seelarathana Thero asked why the Government does not have enough funds to provide a solution to the issues faced by teachers and farmers of the country. The thero also said that the Government has not stopped any of their fraudulent activities, as they are continuing to loot the funds of this country. " The prices of essential commodities have sky rocketed, but they are living their luxurious lives like they did before," he added.
