Cut-off marks for University admission within next two weeks

COLOMBO (News 1st); The University Grants Commission (UGC) says that the cut-off marks for admissions to universities will be released within the next two weeks based on the results of the last G.C.E. Advanced Level examination. Its Deputy Chairman, Prof. Chandana Udawatte stated that the plan to release the cut-off marks is currently in its final stages. The number of students expected to be admitted to universities this year is 44,000. He added that more than 1.5 million applications have been received so far for university admissions.
