#DataScam : ICTA facilitating data recovery from NMRA database

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan authorities have commenced the process of recovering the data from the eNMRA Database that was reportedly deleted by a systems engineer, leading to the #DataScam.

Dr. R.M. Saman Kusumsiri Rathnayake, the Secretary of the State Ministry of Production, Supply, and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals told News 1st that the recovery is taking place at the NMRA with personnel from Epic Lanka Technologies Private Limited and facilitated by the ICTA.

He said a committee was appointed to supervise the recovery process and it includes a representative from the Health Minister and the NMRA.

He said the members of the committee are not being disclosed to ensure there is no influence whatsoever.
