10 kg of ICE seized in Mannar & Two suspect arrested following a police chase

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested two men for the possession of ICE (crystal methamphetamine) in Murunkan, Mannar.

According to Police, the OIC of the Murunkan Police Station received a tip-off that narcotics were being transported in a lorry.

Police Officers had immediately set up a road block, however, the lorry had defied orders to stop.

Thereafter, Police officers had chased after the lorry and managed to bring it to a stop and arrested two men for the possession of 10 kg of ICE packed in 10 parcels.

The suspects will be produced at the Mannar Magistrate's Court on Saturday (2), and further investigations are underway.
