Cost of Living Committee to meet today (24); Pricing issues to be discussed

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Cost of Living Committee will meet today (24) at the Temple Trees for a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

State Minister of Co-operative Services, Marketing Development and Consumer Protection, Lasantha Alagiyawanna said a problematic situation has arisen in the market regarding rice, milk powder, wheat flour, cement, and gas.

He said that a proposal in this regard has been submitted by the Pricing and Management Division of the Consumer Affairs Authority.

The final decision will be made at the Cost of Living Committee meeting.
