Public Security at Risk as Data deleted at whim - Was a Mafia at Work?

COLOMBO (News 1st); Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa claims that public security will be compromised when authorities claim that the deletion of files from the NMRA database was a mistake committed by an engineer attached to the private company that prepared the software for it.

'The NMRA plays a key role related to the medicines approved in Sri Lanka. The deletion of files taking place during these trying times gives cause for suspicion,' he told Parliament.

He questioned if the government would accept whether this was a conspiracy committed by the 'Medical Mafia'.

He called on the government to explain how the #DataScam had taken place noting that databases at other government agencies are also at risk.
