48% of beds in Ayurvedic hospital system reserved for COVID-19 patients

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Ayurveda says that 48% of the beds in the Ayurvedic hospital system have been reserved for COVID-19 infected persons.
Ayurvedic Commissioner Dr. Dhammika Abeygunawardena stated that there are about 5,000 total beds in the Ayurvedic hospital system.
As a first step, 16 Ayurvedic hospitals have been developed for the purpose and about 1,300 beds have been allocated the Ayurvedic Commissioner said.
