Prima increases Wheat Flour (01 kg) price by Rs. 12/-

COLOMBO (News 1st); Prima has decided to increase the price of a kilogram of Wheat Flour by Rs. 12/-.

The latest hike in wheat flour comes against a backdrop where the Consumer Affairs Authority has issued a gazette imposing maximum retail prices on Sugar and Rice.

The Sri Lankan Government issued an extraordinary gazette on Thursday (02) imposing a maximum retail price for Rice and Sugar.

MRP for White Sugar (01 kg)

– Packeted : Rs. 125/-

– Unpacketed : Rs. 122/-

MRP for Brown Sugar (01 kg)

– Packeted : Rs. 128/-

– Unpacketed : Rs. 125/-

MRP for Rice (01 Kg)

– Keeri Samba : Rs. 125/- per kg.

– White/Red Samba – Steamed/Boiled (excluding Suduru Samba) : Rs. 103/- per kg.

– White/Red Nadu – Steamed/Boiled (excluding Mottaikarupan and Attakari) : Rs. 98/- per kg

– White/Red Raw Rice : Rs. 95/- per kg.
